Shantytown Heritage Park - A recreated 1860s gold rush town with steam trains and gold panning, about 15 minutes south and popular with families.
West Coast Wilderness Trail - A 130 km cycle trail through rainforest, lakes and old goldfields between Greymouth and Ross, with bike parking here at the B+B.
Greymouth and the wider West Coast - The pebble beach coastline, the Grey River breakwater, Hokitika Gorge and the glaciers further south are all within a comfortable day's drive.
